Treasury Wine Estates and the efficiencies of scale

Treasury Wine Estates (TWE) is one of the world’s largest wine companies and boasts a portfolio of iconic wine brands, including Beringer, Lindemans, Penfolds, and Wolf Blass. At the end of 2014, TWE decided to migrate all of its existing brand websites to a single consolidated Sitecore CMS platform. An important first step in having a truly international approach to the digital marketing of TWE brands, and enabling a faster time to market.

Rapid development

TWE searched for a strong technical partner and chose Redhotminute Australia to help them realise their Sitecore platform. Redhotminute developed a series of site templates that enabled the rapid development and go live of 23 Australian wine brands on a single consolidated platform. The fully responsive templates enabled a basic wine brand to be launched within 1-2 weeks.  

Preferred partner

With the success of this project, TWE selected Redhotminute as their preferred partner for ongoing support and enhancements to the Sitecore platform. The templated approach allowed for lower operational costs and decreased the cost of new developments. 

US market

With the acquisition Diageo at the end of 2015, an additional 20 US wine brand sites needed to be migrated onto the Sitecore platform. At the end of 2016, Redhotminute Australia joined forces with Redhotminute Netherlands to provide a round the clock development team, dedicated to the rapid migration of the US brands onto the Sitecore platform. Once completed, a total of 43 templated brand sites will be running on a single consolidated platform.
